Alyssa Jirrels covers the July issue.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up in a tiny little hippie town in Northern California called Sebastopol. Everyone knows everyone, you can walk everywhere, and all the shops and restaurants close by 5:30. It is a really artistic, accepting, and diverse community, and a lot of who I am stems from growing up there. I am an only child, my mom works in healthcare and my dad is kind of a jack of all trades, but for the majority of my life he worked in Real Estate.
What was it like being on "Girl Meets World"?
It was an incredible experience. It was my first time being on a set and I was pretty mind blown. That show is truly a well oiled machine, and I am so lucky I got to be a little part of it. I learned from each and every one of the cast members. I was so impressed by their professionalism and intelligence, and I felt so fortunate to see them in action.
What was your favorite episode?
I love Girl Meets Riley Town. Rowan and Sabrina do some really heartbreaking scenes in that. It has a beautiful message as well.
